Location: New Caledonia

Target: GT

Source: Carpenter Japan

- Prototype GT rods

- Prototype jigging rods

- Prototype GT Lures

- BF 140

We drove up to Koumac marina (400km from Noumea) to fished in northern lagoon

All rods we used on this trip were prototype rods

We brought lots of prototype and current model lures from our experience with sharks early this year

I started fishing with KLL Zeus - this lure worked extremely well in Okinawa, Tokara and Indonesia so far

On first cast with MH 8.3ft 37-38lb prototype rod (version 3), very healthy GT 40kg+!

After relocation...

GT 41kg+ on MH 8.3ft 37-38lb prototype rod (version 4) + KLL Zeus

8ft prototype rod + BF 140

BF 140 - very easy to use in this condition and works well. This lure will be good to use in Tokara as well as Hiramasa in Japan next year.

Two fish on BF 140!

GT 41kg+ on MH 8.3ft 37-38lb prototype rod (version 4) + KLL Zeus

This lure works ridiculously well!!

TBL 83/32 + γ(Gamma)

GT 35kg on new Zeus

This was the last piece of new KLL prototype lure we brought this time before it was taken by shark. We could catch lot more fish if we brought more of this model!

We drove further to the northern end of New Caledonia

Very beautiful Surprise Island

There are so many fish in this water but scarily number of sharks are also here. They took our catch for 70-80% of time.

Hooked very big GT on new KLL prototype pencil lure but unfortunate line break with shark.....

Huon Island, northern end of New Caledonia and we have fished 500km from Koumac

The other side of island - trade winds blow through the year. Sea and swell are at level we start to scare fishing

EP 82/38 3 Piece prototype rod (version 3)

We have good progress on testing so far and quite a few 40-50kg GTs have been caught on this during testing trip

EP 82/38 3 Piece prototype rod + new KLL prototype pencil lure

Unlike old fast retrieve surface pencils, this KLL prototype pencil lure will give anglers freedom of speed control which will make it easier to change action between attracting fish and letting fish take it.

This is very enjoyable lure to fish.

When fishing got slower, Bluefish worked better than γ(Gamma). Mixed lures will improve fishing.

EP 82/38 3 Piece prototype rod is getting very reliable and easy to use
